Hrisey Island, North Iceland (photos)
Yesterday, SagaMedica went on a field trip to Hrísey Island in the northern part of Iceland.
We harvest angelica there, for our natural products. Hrísey Island only has a population of 180. Yes, that’s one-hundred-and-eighty. The island is covered by large angelica fields, so it’s a great place for us to harvest it. It’s also very positive that we’re doing it there, since angelica can be an aggressive plant. So much so, in fact, that it’s best to control its growth somewhat.
Take a look at these pictures from Hrísey island.
And see how spectacular the view can be!
