Angelica harvesting footage on RUV
We were so happy to see a great news story on our harvesting in Hrisey Island. SagaMedica now employs 6 people in Hrisey who are working out in the angelica fields, trying to get as much raw material for us possible before the season ends later in August.
Yes, the Icelandic summer is really that short!
We also have teams elsewhere in Iceland, but we are hopeful that Hrisey will be a good place to gather the angelica. We have to keep our eyes open for good angelica fields in Iceland, to keep up with demand.

Windy in Southern Iceland
Thrainn, our CEO has told me that it’s really windy in South Iceland, where we gather the angelica. Our people had to stay inside for a full day since it made no sense to go out and work. Now the weather is better and they are able to keep working, which is good because the season will end later in August.
Thrainn is also going to Hrisey, in Northern Iceland, where we are preparing next year’s harvest of Angelica archangelica.
